Five Countries. Fifteen Days.
One Unforgettable Adventure.
Talented student musicians like yours often have opportunities to travel – nearby events, regional competitions and overnight trips are often part of school music programs.
But nothing comes close to grabbing your passport, learning from expert conductors, and exploring destinations across Europe alongside hundreds of new friends. Our Ambassadors of Music program has a 50-year legacy of introducing the best of Europe to exceptional student musicians through an experience that builds confidence, opens minds, and sparks a love of travel that lasts a lifetime.
Historic Stages and Welcoming Audiences
Performance is the core of the AOM experience. Our Ambassadors perform in ancient churches, pristine parks, and beautiful town squares. Many of these spaces were acoustically designed for the performing arts, and past AOM students and parents attest that they’ve never heard music sound quite the same way.
The notes, the voices, the emotion – every layer is a revelation in these hallowed spaces, reminding these young performers that they’re literally a world away from the stages at home. These performances mark student musicians for life.
And the warm and responsive audiences have an appreciation for our performances that’s distinctly European, creating a unique exchange: local audiences share their cultures and their applause, and students leave with broadened horizons and a new view on the power of the performing arts. Their growth as musicians is always remarkable, as they learn from new directors on new stages, in performances with musical peers who often become lifelong friends.
New Confidence, New Connections
The impact of the Ambassadors of Music experience ripples throughout students’ lives long after they’ve returned home. Parents and directors share story after story of students coming home with more confidence, maturity, and personal responsibility as a result of their AOM experience.
The trip itself offers learning opportunities unlike any other. Students learn to be citizens of the world, as they navigate new languages, foods, currency, and cultures. They grow in responsibility as well, learning how to communicate with their fellow travelers and manage their belongings and money. Your Ambassador will return home with new skills that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
The friendships made on tour are special and lasting, forged through stellar performances, inside jokes, late-night chats, and shared exploration. But the impact of this adventure extends far beyond the young performers who join us each summer. The AOM experience unites passionate music directors, our expert planning team, our on-the-ground specialists, and the parents who join us on tour – everyone involved in the Ambassadors journey feels the lasting impact of this unique journey.
